Stage 2 of the CMS EHR Incentive program begining in 2014 will include new objectives to improve patient care through better clinical decision support, care coordination, and patient engagement. Patient engagement are core objectives for Eligible Professionals (EPS) in objectives #10 and #13 where patient will need to access their health records online and send secure messages to their providers.
