Consumers Expect Long-Term Patient Financing to Help Afford Care
ClearBalance (@ClearBalance) recently published the results of a Porter survey regarding patient experience—and expectations on the financial side. This is the report’s fourth year in a row and it provides new key findings:

  •  79% of patients will ask the provider about payment options
  •  94% of patients expect provider to tell them about way to pay the bill—including long term financing

According to WHYY, hour-long group appointments benefit patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes. “Shared medical appointments aren’t new — the idea has been around since at least the 1970s — but they never really took off in the United States. Cleveland Clinic, Kaiser Permanente and other hospital systems have used them across several specialities for years, but many other systems have been slow to try them.”
