Press Ganey announced the acquisition of Dynamic Clinical Systems (DCS), a patient-reported outcomes (PRO) services and solutions provider. The acquisition expands Press Ganey’s Patient Voice™ portfolio for health care organizations with the ability to collect, measure and analyze patient-reported data.

Kaufman Hall, provider of strategic financial consulting services and software tools to healthcare organizations, announced that it has completed the acquisition of Axiom EPM, a Portland, OR-based private software company recognized for delivering sophisticated, flexible performance management solutions used by leading organizations in sectors including healthcare, higher education and banking.

Huron Consulting Group Inc. (NASDAQ: HURN), provider of business consulting services, announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Vonlay, LLC, a healthcare technology consulting firm, specializing in clinical information systems and electronic health records (EHR) implementations and optimizations. Vonlay’s expertise in healthcare information technology, particularly Epic Systems software, expands Huron Healthcare’s capabilities empowering hospitals, health systems, and academic medical centers to improve their operations and care delivery.

CareCloud, provider of cloud-based practice management, electronic health records (EHR), and medical billing software and services,  announced it had added a record number of new clients – more than 170 – to its platform in the first quarter of 2014. The Company also reported its 17th consecutive quarter of year-over-year triple-digit revenue growth. During the quarter, CareCloud also launched two innovative new product offerings: Companion, a mobile app that allows physicians to manage their practice on the go, via their iPad, iPad mini, iPhone, or iPod touch; and CollectiveIQ, an automated billing rules product that helps practices to improve collections and reduce administrative costs. ZirMed®, a health information connectivity and management solutions company, announced a new, secure, HIPAA-compliant secure messaging feature for Clinical Link®, the company’s cloud-based communications platform. This enhancement enables ZirMed users to exchange messages and clinical documents with any provider organization in the U.S., regardless of an organization’s EHR or practice management system. Clinical Link secure messaging helps providers meet the need for HIPAA-compliant physician communications without the delays associated with faxing, scanning and lost paperwork.

Kryptiq Corporation announced that IDC Health Insights has named Kryptiq CareManager™ a leader in the IDC MarketScape: US Population Health Management, 2014 Vendor Assessment. “Kryptiq has among the largest client base in the population health management market, and CareManager is among the most mature products,” said IDC Health Insights in the report. “The company’s market differentiators include its ability to bi-directionally integrate with EHRs; clients are able to present data at the point of care to support clinical decision-making and close gaps in care. Net Health announced that the Net Health Specialty Care Registry is qualified as a Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) reporting tool by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The Net Health Specialty Care Registry is a software based collection and reporting tool that compiles and processes data from electronic health records (EHR) to enable eligible professionals (EPs) to statistically analyze their own care, compare it to that of their peers, and pinpoint opportunities for improvement. PQRS is a CMS program that uses a combination of incentive payments and adjustments to promote reporting of quality information by EPs. Specifically, the reported data focuses on quality measures for covered Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) services.

eClinicalWorks®  announced American Health Network (AHN) is live using eClinicalWorks Care Coordination Medical Record® (CCMR) for population health management to manage three Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) – American Health Network of Ohio Care Organization, Franciscan AHN ACO and Indiana Care Organization. These ACOs have a total of 51,663 Medicare members and 320 providers across Ohio and Indiana. As part of this relationship, eClinicalWorks provided the technology and resources to assist all three ACOs with their successful submissions for Group Practice Reporting Option (GPRO) in 2013, a requirement for Medicare ACOs.
