Last week we asked our HITECH Answers audience to participate in an informal benchmarking survey to gauge where various groups stand in EHR implementation efforts. Click here to view the results of this survey.
Though the survey and results were extremely informal, we think it reflects some interesting points including:
- On the question of why meaningful use matters, participants put the greatest value on the HITECH Act incentives.
- It was clear that in several areas, collaboration and information gathering from peers is critical to the process.
- On the question of challenges in EHR adoption, workflow and training/change management were the two areas presenting the greatest challenges for participants.
