The Health division of Wolters Kluwer announced a partnership with HealthCore to provide data normalization services to the California Integrated Data Exchange. Deployment of the Health Language Enterprise Terminology Management Platform will ensure the integrity and semantic interoperability of data flowing through the statewide HIE.
Healthcare in the real world doesn’t stop at the state line. Indiana and Ohio, through two of the nation’s largest health information exchanges, are demonstrating the ability to follow the footprint of the patient across the region through the digital exchange of information across communities, states and technology systems.
Arizona Health-e Connection (AzHeC) and Health Information Network of Arizona (HINAz) have completed a merger and are now one operational and legal entity as of January 1, 2016. This merger culminates a collaborative two-year process that began when the Boards of AzHeC and HINAz voted to formally affiliate and combine operations in February 2014.
With 2015 rapidly winding down, DirectTrust released a list of six trends it predicts for interoperable electronic exchange of health information during the coming year. DirectTrust is a health care industry alliance created by and for participants in the Direct exchange network used for secure, interoperable exchange of personal health information (PHI) between provider organizations, and between provider and patients, for the purpose of improved coordination of care.
