With over 22 years of experience focused on digital health, Michael Mainiero is the Senior Vice President and Chief Digital and Information Officer at Catholic Health. Prior to joining Catholic Health, he spent 20 years at NYU Langone overseeing the digital transformation of its academic medical center.

At NYU Langone, he established an agile culture of technology and informatics-driven innovation, managed large-scale implementations, and formed dynamic and high-performing teams. Leading digital innovation for the health system, Michael co-led a design thinking lab at NYU that developed several products across research, patient care, and education. In his leadership role, he led the transformation of IT which was critical to all the missions of academic medicine. Notable achievements include the creation of a state-of-the-art patient portal with an online scheduling system, a physician finder application, a robust patient communications platform, a digital inpatient experience, leading the transformation of telehealth, and the modernization of inpatient and ambulatory care sites. At NYU, Michael led and coached over 15 agile teams that consisted of designers, product managers, data scientists, software developers, and cyber ops.

Mr. Mainiero holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the State University of New York at Oswego.

Dr. Joshua Liu is a physician turned entrepreneur. He is currently the co-founder/CEO of SeamlessMD, which provides the leading Digital Patient Engagement platform for health systems to engage, monitor and stay connected with patients across healthcare journeys.

Joshua graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Toronto. During his medical training, he co-led a research project at UHN on hospital readmissions and sat on UHN’s physician advisory group for post-hospital discharge follow up. As a result, Joshua was inspired to develop technology to better support patients and prevent adverse outcomes such as a readmission – which ultimately led to him co-founding SeamlessMD.
