We push for policies we feel would increase participation in accountable care organizations and help CMS reach its stated goal of having all Medicare beneficiaries in a relationship accountable for quality and total cost of care by 2030.
CMS announced that the Medicare Shared Savings Program saved money for Medicare while continuing to support high-quality care. Specifically, the program saved Medicare $1.8 billion in 2022 compared to spending targets for the year.
CMS announced that the Medicare Shared Savings Program, through its work with Accountable Care Organizations – groups of doctors, hospitals and other health care providers — saved Medicare money while continuing to deliver high-quality care.
