Tackling EHR contract selection and negotiation

Bill O'Toole, O'Toole Law GroupJoin O’Toole Law Group Founder William O’Toole on January 25, 2011 at 7 pm EST for a special Q & A session following the release of his very well received white paper entitled Selection and Negotiation of EHR Contracts for Providers.
O’Toole teams up with HITECH Answers once again to provide a webcast presentation and advice session. Attendance at this event is exclusively offered to HITECH Answers Virtual Learning Center members. The live web event on January 25th will be a well-crafted session to specifically addresses the selection and negotiation of EHR contracts for providers, hospital and practice CIOs or other representatives. Prior to the event, attendees should:
  • Gather their proposed vendor contracts and compare certain sections like payment terms, liability limitations, meaningful use certification guarantees (if any), or any other terms that are important to your management team, and
  • record your results, best to worst in each category.
This simple exercise will perfectly frame the questions to be asked during the webcast.  The general, generic question and answer format should prove helpful to all in attendance.  Once the session becomes active, discussion will undoubtedly raise additional questions and topics.
The exceptional insight provided in next Tuesday’s event will help registrants tackle the difficult task of selecting and negotiating an EHR contract and product from among the many available.  William O’Toole will assist attendees in selecting the terms most likely to provide long term comfort with your EHR vendor, and avoiding those which are just as likely to produce long term negative effects.
