KaMMCO Health Solutions to Deliver Statewide Health Information Exchange, Analytics, and Patient Engagement Tools in Seven States

Physicians and healthcare professionals nationwide are in the midst of unparalleled industry transformation. Successful adoption of the new performance-based delivery and payment models will rely heavily upon electronic health record interoperability and development of actionable intelligence through analytics. KaMMCO Health Solutions is now working to deliver a suite of interoperability and analytics products and services in partnership with medical societies in six states beyond Kansas, including Georgia, South Carolina, Connecticut, New Jersey, Missouri, and Louisiana.

Connecticut – CTHealthLink

CTHealthLink (@CTHealthLink) is a physician-led health information network delivered in partnership with the Connecticut State Medical Society (CSMS) offering a suite of health information technology tools to help health professionals across the state of Connecticut CONNECT. ANALYZE. ENGAGE. and TRANSFORM. the healthcare industry.

Quality Matters: The New Data Dilemma – CTHealthLink along with CSMS and KaMMCO Health Solutions are offering this timely CME program on the effective use of clinical data. The presentation is designed to provide physicians and clinicians with the knowledge to drive quality improvement and transform healthcare through the application of meaningful data analytics for quality reporting, population health management, risk management and clinical effectiveness.

Nebraska Health Information Initiative (NeHII)

Nebraska Health Information Initiative (@NeHIIorg) is leading the effort to create a secure, online, web-based Health Information Exchange designed to serve the state of Nebraska. Improved delivery of health care information and reduced health care costs are good for all citizens of Nebraska. The state has a proud tradition and reputation of providing the finest health care possible to its citizens. The HIE will help health care providers take health care to the next level.

NeHII Announces Partnership with the Compass Practice Transformation Network – The Nebraska Health Information Initiative recently announced its partnership with the Compass Practice Transformation Network in executing the work of the Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPI) in Nebraska. TCPI was introduced by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in 2015 to help clinicians achieve large-scale clinical transformation. NeHII will provide technical assistance to more than 750 clinicians in Nebraska over the next two years of TCPI, utilizing its data infrastructure and quality improvement staff to move the clinicians through five stages of transformation:

California – Manifest Medex

Manifest MedEx is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health information exchanges (HIEs), combining 11.7 million claims records from Blue Shield of California and Anthem Blue Cross and 5 million clinical patient records from 150 participating partners. Manifest MedEx supports physicians, nurses, hospitals and health plans in sharing critical health information to ensure that patients receive the safest, highest-quality care possible. The California Integrated Data Exchange and Inland Empire Health Information Exchange merged to create Manifest Medex.

Manifest MedEx CEO to speak at Health 2.0’s Tech For Precision Summit – Next month, Health 2.0 will continue its mission of introducing new digital platforms that will improve the patient experience and provide deeper insight into the data behind key decisions for treatment and for maintaining health with the inaugural Technology for Precision Health Summit on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in San Francisco. The keynote presentation on quality of patient experience; and initiatives to improve care providers to securely review, analyze and share medical information across the healthcare system will be given by Claudia Williams, CEO of Manifest MedEx.

Arizona – Health Current

Health Current (@AZHealthCurrent), is a partner that gives providers the information they need to make better clinical decisions and keep people healthy. The HIE believes more complete information is more meaningful. It makes healthcare transformation possible. And Health Current is central to this progress, integrating information technology and care delivery to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities.

10th Annual Summit & Trade Show Focused on Using Data to Improve Health – The 10th Annual Health Current Summit & Trade Show brought together more than 300 attendees for two-days of presentations and discussions on the use and integration of more complete data into clinical care. Held at the Renaissance Phoenix/Glendale Hotel and Spa, October 30-31, 2017, the event featured discussion on a number of key topics in health IT today, including the use of technology to combat the opioid crisis and the future and challenges of integrated value-based healthcare. Maine – HealthInfoNet

HealthInfoNet (@hinfonet) is a Maine-based, independent nonprofit designated by the State of Maine to operate Maine’s statewide health information exchange. The HIE links medical information from separate health care sites to create a single electronic patient health record. This record is accessible to a patient’s authorized health care providers to support treatment. HealthInfoNet provides a secure, standardized electronic system where health care providers can share important patient information, giving them the tools they need to make more informed treatment decisions, especially in an emergency.

HealthInfoNet Receives Maine CDC “Pump Handle Award” – HealthInfoNet was honored to receive the Maine CDC Pump Handle Award for contributing to the reporting, monitoring, prevention and control of communicable diseases through our Syndromic Surveillance, Electronic Lab Reporting and Immunization Registry.

Texas – Paso del Norte Health Information Exchange (PHIX)

The Paso del Norte Health Information Exchange (@PHIXNetwork) is a unique collaborative of major health care leaders in El Paso. PHIX pulls health information from the EHRs of all providers in the PHIX network and stores it in a centralized record so that patients’ health information in one place. PHIX provides HIPAA- compliant email and supports physician practices in optimizing their utilization of EHR technology

Texas HIE Selects Innovaccer to Advance Data-Driven Valued-based Care Initiatives – The Paso del Norte Health Information Exchange has selected Innovaccer, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based healthcare platform company, to leverage its technology for data-driven value-based initiatives. As a Health Information Exchange, PHIX will provide access to patient’s longitudinal health record from across the care continuum. PHIX’s goal is to improve efficiency, increase quality of care, and improve patient safety.

PA-HSX-200Health Share Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania (HSX)

HealthShare Exchange (@HealthShareExch) is the greater Philadelphia region’s health information exchange for the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region. HSX is a unique, membership-dues-supported nonprofit formed by the Delaware Valley’s hospitals/health systems and healthcare insurers that links the electronic medical record systems of different hospital health systems, medical centers, and clinics — and the claims data of healthcare insurers — to make this information accessible at inpatient and outpatient points of care, including medical practice offices.

Ohio – CliniSync

OH-CliniSync-200CliniSync (@CliniSync) is a nonprofit, independent, private organization originally funded from HITECH and the ONC. The Ohio Health Information Partnership assisted providers in EHR adoption and the infrastructure for statewide HIE. It was named CliniSync, which signifies Clinical data synchronization.

Dr. Anthony Bacevice: CliniSync Update – The HIE provides for electronic transfer of patient information among providers, sources of clinical data (such as laboratories and imaging centers), hospitals and other entities that provide care. The CliniSync Advisory Council has been engaged in providing assistance to CliniSync in the development of policies and processes for this data exchange. Items such as patient consent of information exchange, confidentiality of data and appropriate interchange of information to facilitate payment are among the topics that the Advisory Council considers. Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network (WISHIN)

wi-shin-twitterIn October 2010 Wisconsin officially announced its intention to designate WISHIN (@WISHIN_Pulse), a not-for-profit organization formed by the Wisconsin Hospital Association, Wisconsin Medical Society, Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality, and Wisconsin Health Information Organization, as the State-designated entity to govern statewide HIE. DE on October 25, 2010. WISHIN is responsible for implementing Wisconsin’s Strategic and Operational Plan. The plan requires multi-stakeholder collaboration and emphasizes ongoing development of government and policy structures.

NY-SHINY-200New York -Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY)

The SHIN-NY is the only HIE that provides universal access regardless of network or EHR system. New York State has made a significant investment in the SHIN-NY and in 2016 they set a goal of connecting 100% of the PPS across the state to the SHIN-NY. The eight RHIOs that make up the SHIN-NY are working directly with the PPS organizations to meet their needs.

Viewpoints: HEALTHeLINK deserves community support – As has been well reported, one Sunday morning in April, the entire computer network at Erie County Medical Center was suddenly shut down due to a cybersecurity attack.  Although this incident is yet one more example of an ever-growing number of criminal cyberattacks, it revealed a somewhat surprising additional added value from HEALTHeLINK. While this cyberattack prevented ECMC staff from accessing its own electronic patient records directly, ECMC’s patient information was still readily available by connecting to HEALTHeLINK. HEALTHeLINK essentially proved to be ECMC’s backup system!

Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN)

MI-MiHIN-200The Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (@MiHIN) is Michigan’s initiative to continuously improve health care quality, efficiency, and patient safety by promoting secure, electronic exchange of health information through the MiHIN Health Information Services Cloud (HISC). MiHIN represents a growing network of public and private organizations working to overcome data sharing barriers, reduce costs, and ultimately advance the health of Michigan’s population.

Oakland Physician Network Services Joins Growing Statewide Health Information
Network – MiHIN is pleased to announce that Oakland Physician Network Services has been approved as Michigan’s 13th health information exchange qualified organization. Being a qualified organization means that OPNS can now share patient care information directly through the statewide health information network with other healthcare organizations.

GA_DCH_Branding_JW4Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN)

Georgia Health Information Network (@GeorgiaHIE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a healthier Georgia by facilitating the use and secure exchange of electronic health information so providers have the information they need at the point of care. GaHIN’s two products, GeorgiaDirect and Georgia ConnectedCare, connect providers statewide and nationally and are free for credentialed, authorized Georgia users.

Dr. Denise Hines Honored with WIT Women of the Year Award – Denise Hines, DHA, PMP, FHIMSS, CEO of eHealth Services Group and Executive Director of Georgia Health Information Network, has received the 2017 Women of the Year in Technology – Small Enterprise Award, from Women in Technology (WIT). The WIT Women in Technology winners were announced on November 16, 2017, at a ceremony at the Georgia Aquarium. The Women in Technology Awards honor female leaders of Georgia-based science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) companies whose accomplishments have not only furthered their organizations and industries, but have also made a difference in their local communities.

Michigan – Great Lakes Health Connect (GLHC)

GLHC twitterGreat Lakes Health Connect (@GLHC_HIE) is one of the largest and most successful Health Information Exchanges in the country and is growing rapidly. GLHC is committed to creating care-connected communities across Michigan. Their vision is to enhance patient experience, improve health outcomes, and reduce costs across the continuum of care.

Missouri Health Connection’s Quarterly Newsletter – The newsletter includes a letter from Angie Bass, MHC CEO, which updates readers on the latest within the organization and an interview from a true visionary within health care and the person responsible for making MHC a reality, Ron Levy. Also, don’t miss MHC’s newly updated website.

Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE)

IHIE-200Indiana Health Information Exchange (@IndianaHIE) operates the nation’s largest health information exchange, providing a secure, robust and interoperable health information technology network that connects over 150 hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, community health clinics and other healthcare providers.
