The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) has a cooperative agreement with National eHealth Collaborative (NeHC) to provide stakeholders with timely and relevant information on health IT initiatives. As part of this agreement, the two regularly co-host free webinars and events to educate interested parties on some of the most pressing topics facing the industry. You can attend these two upcoming events.

Description: This program is a follow-up to the webinar “Keeping EHRs Error-Free: The Value of Patient Engagement”. In this program, we’ll discuss findings from an ONC funded evaluation of a pilot project at Geisinger Health System where patients were encouraged to provide feedback on their medication list within their EHR, in advance of patient visit. The results demonstrate that patients can be effectively engaged online to improve the quality of the information in the EHR. The presentation will also explore what the implications of the study are for policy makers and the healthcare community.
