ONC Annual Meeting: Year of Meaningful Use, Health IT

A Meaningful Foundation for the Future of Healthcare

Next Wednesday on December 12, the ONC will host its annual meeting. The meeting will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. and will run from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm ET. The meeting kicks off with The Year of Meaningful Use  as leaders with leaders and the ONC discussing how to accelerate meaningful use.

There will be hundreds of key stakeholders attending this meeting in person. Those interested can join the meeting through webcast.  The meeting will feature National Coordinator Farzad Mostashari, the White House’s Chief Technology Officer Todd Park, and other industry leaders will discuss what lies ahead in Health IT.

  • A stakeholder roundtable discussion, moderated by Todd Park, with Pacific Business Group on Health CEO David Lansky, Craig Sammit, CEO of Dean Health Systems, Bill Walsh, a senior advisor on AARP’s health portfolio and Scott Whyte, VP of IT Connectivity for Dignity Health Systems.
  • A session on how technology can fuel achievement of the 3-part aim, and support a more sustainable, high quality health care delivery system. The discussion will feature George Halvorson, CEO of Kaiser Permanente, David Wennberg, MD, CEO Northern New England Accountable Care Collaborative at Health Dialog and Karen DeSalvo, MD, Health Commissioner, City of New Orleans.
