September a Full Month of Health IT Conferences

Since our last post on September conferences, we have received more information on additional upcoming events. September looks like a full month of HIT and medical organizations connecting, educating, and exhibiting. For more events and conferences see our Marketplace Calendar.

On September 9-12 look for the North Carolina Healthcare Information & Communications Alliance, Inc. (NCHICA) to gather for their 18th Annual Conference & Exhibition in Greensboro. The theme this year is “The Revolution in Healthcare: From Chaos to Coordinated Care”. If you are a golfer, look for the tournament at Grandover Resort on the 9th,

In Bethesda Maryland this year, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) 2012 Annual Conference will be held on September 9-11. Their theme is Moving Ahead: Leveraging Knowledge and Action to Improve Health Care Quality. There is no registration fee for the conference but online registration is only available until Friday, August 31, 2012. Follow their hashtag for the conference at #AHRQAC on Twitter.

National Health IT Week is shaping up for this year’s Washington DC events. Don’t miss this year’s Consumer Health IT Summit celebrating the progress the public and private sector have made in making health information more easily available to consumers and engaging them to use their data to improve their care and well being. This year they are taking the movement to the next level. Look for ONC Farzard Mostashari and US CTO Todd Park to be energizing the audience there. Registration information is now available. The theme this year is 2012 Kentucky eHealth Summit: Together we achieve better care, affordable care and healthier communities! Don’t miss Governor Steven Beshear and ONC Deputy National Coordinator David Muntz speaking at this event.
