Quality Payment Program

New 2024 Resources and Webpages on QPP Website

CMS has updated the QPP website to include 2024 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) webpages and resources.

2024 Quality Benchmarks
They have published 2024 historical benchmarks for quality measures on a new webpage of the QPP website. Benchmarks are the point of comparison we use to score the measures you submit. Your performance on each measure is compared to its benchmark to determine how many points the measure can earn.

From the Benchmarks webpage, you can download:

  • 2024 Quality Benchmarks
  • 2024 Quality Benchmarks User Guide with Scoring Examples
  • 2024 Multiple Performance Measure File

2024 Explore MVPs
If you’re interested in reporting a MIPS Value Pathway (MVP), review the 2024 performance year finalized MVPs on the 2024 Explore MVPs webpage to determine if there’s an available MVP that’s applicable to your scope of care and practice.

2024 Explore Measures & Activities
The Explore Measures & Activities tool on the QPP website can help you get familiar with the available measures and activities for each performance category under traditional MIPS. Explore Measures & Activities has been updated to include measures and activities for the 2024 performance year.

Participate in 2024 Field Testing of Cost Measures Now through February 29

Field testing is now live! CMS and its contractor, Acumen, LLC, are conducting field testing of 2 episode-based cost measures from February 1 to February 29, 2024. The following episode-based cost measures are currently being field tested before consideration of their potential use in the cost performance category of the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) of the Quality Payment Program (QPP):

  • Movement Disorders: Parkinson’s and Related Conditions, Multiple
  • Sclerosis (MS), and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
  • Non-Pressure Ulcers

Clinicians and clinician groups who meet the attribution requirements for at least one of the measures will receive a Field Test Report. The public is invited to provide feedback on the draft measure specifications through an online survey, which closes on February 29, 2024, at 11:59 PM ET. Participation is voluntary.
