Our countdown to MGMA12 continues with a look at new updates to the conference site and selected speaker sessions. The convention will be held in San Antonio, Texas October 21 – 24, drawing thousands to the city’s famed Riverwalk. You can follow updates on the convention site or at Twitter hashtag #mgma12. The conference offers daily general keynote speakers, educational sessions, a Healthcare Innovations Pavilion also offering educational sessions and pre-conference workshops. And finally, does the thought of San Antonio have you thinking of margaritas?
Margarita on the rocks
1 1/2 ounces tequila*
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice (do not use limeade!)
1/2 ounce Cointreau
*Use white (blanco), silver or gold. Unlike frozen margaritas, margaritas straight up require a high quality tequila.
Salt the edges of a margarita glass (run a lime wedge around the rim and dip into some salt on a plate – course salt works best.) Fill the glass with ice; add tequila, lime juice, and Cointreau; and stir a few times until chilled. You can also use a standard stainless shaker. Drink up.
