MGMA12 Conference Updates

MGMA12 Gears Up

Our countdown to MGMA12 continues with a look at new updates to the conference site and selected speaker sessions.  The convention will be held in San Antonio, Texas October 21 – 24, drawing thousands to the city’s famed Riverwalk. You can follow updates on the convention site or at Twitter hashtag #mgma12. Get their early bird discount  if you register by this Friday, September 21st.

The conference offers daily general keynote speakers, educational sessions, a Healthcare Innovations Pavilion also offering educational sessions and pre-conference workshops. You can also get access to Beltway advocates. Stop by the MGMA-ACMPE booth to get legislative and regulatory questions addressed.

A great calendar feature has now been added so you can begin to customize your conference schedule in Outlook.

And new this year – MGMA12 To Go. You can share these selected sessions to experience the conference with colleagues back in the office or tune in if you can’t attend in person. Note: Registration for these sessions opens in late September.

And finally, does the thought of San Antonio have you thinking of margaritas?

Margarita on the rocks

1 1/2 ounces tequila*
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice (do not use limeade!)
1/2 ounce Cointreau
Salt (optional)

*Use white (blanco), silver or gold. Unlike frozen margaritas, margaritas straight up require a high quality tequila.

Salt the edges of a margarita glass (run a lime wedge around the rim and dip into some salt on a plate – course salt works best.) Fill the glass with ice; add tequila, lime juice, and Cointreau; and stir a few times until chilled. You can also use a standard stainless shaker. Drink up.
