Carequality Trusted Exchange Framework Facilitates Exchange Of Nearly 60 Million Clinical Documents in First Two Years
Carequality (@CarequalityNet), a national-level, trusted exchange framework to enable health information exchange between and among health data sharing networks, announced the exchange of more than 14 million clinical documents during the month of August 2018. This brings the number of documents exchanged to over 59 million since Carequality started measuring in December 2016. Month-over-month growth for Carequality is accelerating as more physicians utilize the expanding connectivity.
Diameter Health Earns ONC Health IT Certification from Drummond Group LLC
Diameter Health (@DiameterHealth) has achieved Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-Health IT) 2015 Edition Health IT Module Certification via Drummond Group LLC, an Authorized Certification Body (ACB) that is empowered to test software for compliance with the requirements of the federal government’s program. The stamp of approval designates that the software offers the functionality that enables eligible providers and hospitals to meet the requirements of various regulatory programs that require use of certified EHR technology.
Carequality Seeks Community Input As It Expands Governance to FHIR
Carequality (@CarequalityNet), a national-level, interoperability trusted exchange framework, is actively seeking input from the healthcare community as it adds support for FHIR-based exchange. Member and non-member stakeholders from across the healthcare continuum are encouraged to participate in the new FHIR Implementation Guide Technical and/or Policy workgroups. The former will concentrate more on specifications and security, while the latter will focus on the “rules of the road.”
eClinicalWorks Becomes One of the First EHR Companies to Integrate with CMS Blue Button 2.0 API
eClinicalWorks® (@eClinicalWorks), a leader in healthcare IT solutions, announced it has become one of the first Electronic Health Record (EHR) companies to be approved and to integrate with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Blue Button® 2.0 API. The Blue Button 2.0 API contains four years of Medicare Part A, B and D data for 53 million Medicare beneficiaries. eClinicalWorks will support the Consumer-Directed Exchange, covering numerous functions to improve patient access to health data and assist in informed health decisions.

The Sequoia Project (@SequoiaProject) was chartered to advance the implementation of secure, interoperable nationwide health information exchange. The ONC transitioned management of its eHealth Exchange to The Sequoia Project for maintenance. Since 2012, the Exchange has grown to become the largest health information exchange network in the country.

The Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative
SHIEC (@SHIEClive) is the National Trade Association for Health Information Exchange Organizations. It is routine for important data about patients’ ongoing care to reside in multiple unconnected organizations. SHIEC member HIEs use information technology and trusted relationships in their service areas to enable secure, authorized exchange of patient information among disparate providers. By providing enhanced access to all available and relevant patient data SHIEC HIE members aim to improve the quality, coordination, and cost-effectiveness of health care provided in their communities. Companies that provide 90 percent of electronic health records used by hospitals nationwide as well as the top five largest health care systems in the country have agreed to implement three core commitments: Consumer Access, No Blocking/Ensuring Transparency, and Standards.
