Henry Ford Health System Appoints New CEO Of Henry Ford Hospital
Following an extensive, national search, Henry Ford Health System (@HenryFordNews) has selected a new CEO for Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Richard “Chip” Davis, Ph.D., is joining Henry Ford from Johns Hopkins Medicine and will begin Nov. 15, 2018. He replaces John Popovich, Jr., M.D., who retired earlier this year. Davis will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction over the entire clinical and financial operations of Henry Ford Hospital, as well as leading new clinical, academic and commercial partnerships.

Cerner President Zane Burke to Step Down
Cerner (@Cerner) announced that Zane Burke will step down as President of the company Nov. 2. Since joining Cerner in 1996, Burke had a range of executive positions across sales, implementation, support and finance. He was named President in 2013 after leading Cerner’s client organization.

Nicole Seagriff Assumes National Role With Postgraduate Nurse Practitioner Residency Program
Dr. Nicole Seagriff, family nurse practitioner and medical director of the Norwalk and Stamford primary care practices at Community Health Center, Inc. Michael Apkon, MD, PhD Named New CEO Of Tufts Medical Center
An acclaimed health care administrator, physician and researcher who has held leadership positions at three of the top academic medical centers in North America will become the next Chief Executive Officer of Tufts Medical Center (@TuftsMedicalCtr) and Floating Hospital for Children. Tufts MC’s Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Michael Apkon, MD, PhD, MBA, who currently serves as President and CEO for The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada, to the position following an international search. Dr. Apkon will begin as CEO starting this fall.
