ClearDATA Expands AWS Service Delivery Portfolio

Rush sues maker of patient monitoring system, says it put safety at risk
Rush University Medical Center spent $18 million on a patient monitoring system that didn’t work as promised and put patient safety at risk, the academic medical center is alleging in a lawsuit against the company that made the system. Rush filed the lawsuit against Pennsylvania-based Draeger Inc., late last week in federal court in Chicago.

ShoCard Secures $4 Million in Funding, Launches Enterprise Identity Solution, ShoBadge
ShoCard (@getshocard), a blockchain-based identity management system (IMS), recently announced $4 million in funding, bringing total funding to $5.5 million, for the rollout of its enterprise solution, ShoBadge. The new product eliminates the need for usernames and passwords within the enterprise to authorize network and data access, instead using a blockchain-based digital identity verification and authentication process. This investment round was led by existing investors, Morado and AME Cloud Ventures with new participation from Storm Ventures, Danhua Capital, Correlation Ventures, Recruit Strategic Partners and Robert Tinker, founder and former CEO of MobileIron.

Orion Health and NextGate Renew Partnership
Orion Health (@OrionHealth), a global provider of healthcare information technology advancing population health management, has extended its partnership with NextGate, a company with expertise in patient and organization identity management. The new agreement further cements the ten-year relationship between the two companies by extending the partnership globally.

AbleTo Raises $36.6 Million in Series D Funding, Led by Bain Capital Ventures
AbleTo, Inc. (@ableto_health), a provider of technology-enabled behavioral health solutions proven to improve patient outcomes and lower healthcare costs, announced it has closed $36.6 million in financing, led by Bain Capital Ventures and also includes strategic investor Aetna.
