Unifier Archive, a natively Vendor Neutral Archive from Dicom Systems, will enable Dental Information Systems Center to migrate in excess of 27 million historic dental exams, and archive over 5,000 new exams every 24 hours from over 150 Army dental clinics worldwide.

Lenovo Health (@LenovoHealth), a provider of consumer, commercial, and enterprise technology, announced its partnership with the Center for Connected Medicine (@connectedmed), a collaborative executive briefing center located in Pittsburgh, Pa., that showcases the transformation of healthcare. The two organizations chose to collaborate based on their shared vision of an intelligent, connected community-of-care ecosystem.

Recondo Technology (@RecondoTech), the market leader in cloud-based single-platform revenue cycle management solutions, announced that it closed an additional $16 million in debt and capital funding to support and accelerate the company’s future growth curve. Lemhi Ventures led the round, with Bridge Capital serving as the debt partner. The capital will be used to fund significant continued product development investments, particularly in areas of API-enabled revenue cycle content, expanded claims statusing, and authorization automation—all solutions designed to measurably improve financial outcomes.

Vocera Communications, Inc. (@voceracomm), a healthcare communications company, announced that it has acquired Extension Healthcare for approximately $55 million in an all-cash transaction. Based in Fort Wayne, Ind., Extension Healthcare (@ExtensionHealth) is a leading provider of clinical, event-driven communication and workflow collaboration software for the hospital environment. The strengths of the two companies and their solutions will deepen interoperability of the Vocera Communication Platform with more than 120 clinical systems, including electronic health records (EHRs), physiologic monitors, enterprise clinical systems, and biomed devices such as ventilators.

Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc. (@zimmerbiomet), a provider in musculoskeletal healthcare, announced the acquisition of RespondWell, a telerehabilitation technology designed to provide personalized, clinician-supervised post-surgical physical therapy in the comfort of a patient’s home. The acquisition strengthens the Company’s recently announced Zimmer Biomet Signature Solutions commercial offering by integrating a comprehensive, at-home telerehabilitation capability designed to enhance patient compliance with physical therapy and improve the quality of recovery.

Vital Images, Inc. (@Vital_Images), a Minneapolis-based enterprise medical imaging and informatics company, has entered into an agreement to acquire Karos Health (@karoshealth), a global healthcare informatics company. The acquisition will allow Vital and Karos to offer customers and OEM partners a robust imaging and informatics solution-set. The combined technologies provide a customer-centric, modular platform that allows hospital systems to solve a broad set of enterprise imaging challenges without requiring large-scale, disruptive PACS replacement of existing systems.
