Allscripts to acquire Practice Fusion business
Allscripts (@Allscripts), a global leader in healthcare technology, announced a definitive agreement to acquire Practice Fusion, for $100 million in cash, subject to adjustment for working capital and net debt. Practice Fusion is a Silicon Valley pioneer in partnering with top-tier life sciences organizations to drive innovation. In combination with Allscripts existing payer and life sciences business, Allscripts expects to expand its big data insights and analytics, data sharing technologies, and clinical trial solutions to enable life sciences organizations to accelerate bringing life-changing therapies to market.

U.S. Army Regional Health Command-Pacific Expands Vocera Technology at Three Facilities
Vocera Communications, Inc. (@voceracomm), a provider of clinical communication and workflow solutions, announced that U.S. Army Regional Health Command-Pacific (RHC-P) is expanding Vocera technology at three military facilities. This $2.8 million contract completes a record year of federal bookings across the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Veteran Health Administration (VA). This agreement with RHC-P, a U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) region, includes a new deployment of Vocera solutions at Brian Allgood Army Hospital in Korea and a large expansion at Tripler Army Medical Center and Schofield Barracks Health Clinic in Honolulu.

1Vision Awarded Home Telehealth Contract from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
1Vision LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of HMS TECHNOLOGIES, INC., announced that it has been selected as the only Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to be awarded a contract from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to deliver home telehealth solutions to U.S veterans. The contract includes one base year and four one-year option periods with a maximum value of $258,668,957.

Elsevier acquires Via Oncology, a leading provider of clinical decision support solutions for oncology professionals
Elsevier (@ElsevierConnect), the information analytics business specializing in science and health, and part of RELX Group, announced that it has acquired Via Oncology, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based company that provides decision support and best practices in cancer care management. A former subsidiary of UPMC, one of the nation’s leading integrated healthcare delivery and financing systems, Via Oncology helps cancer centers demonstrate the value of their care to patients, referring physicians and payers by developing and implementing clinical pathways in collaboration with its network of more than 1,500 US cancer care providers.

Pager Inc. (@getpager), a digital health company engaging patients and powering cost-effective care, raised a strategic round led by anchor partner Horizon Healthcare Services (Horizon), the leading health insurance carrier in New Jersey with more than 3.8 million members. The round includes existing venture investors Lux Capital, Goodwater Capital and New Enterprise Associates. New investor Vero Norte also participated, representing Grupo Sura, one of the largest health insurance companies in Latin America.
