Healthcare Management Systems, Inc. (HMS) today announced it has formed a strategic partnership with Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc. to integrate HMS’ enterprise inpatient EHR with Greenway’s ambulatory solution, PrimeSUITE. The two companies will jointly sell the Greenway solution to HMS customers.

Healthcare pioneer and investor Ivo Nelson has announced the launch of his latest venture, Next Wave Health. Healthcare information technology provider InteliChart has announced the selection of both InteliChart Patient Portal and InteliChart Health Information Exchange (HIE) by Washington Regional Medical System (WRMS). With the patient portal and HIE, WRMS will be positioned to acquire, aggregate and standardize patient information gathered from the patient portal and the health system’s disparate electronic health records (EHRs), and collect it into one patient health record. As such, the InteliChart platform will help WRMS streamline the exchange of patient-centric data between its hospitals, surgery center and ambulatory community practices, thereby enhancing care coordination.

VitalHealth Software, a global provider of web-based solutions for collaborative health management established by Mayo Clinic and the Noaber Foundation, has announced the release of a cloud based next generation EHR solution for eye care practices. The VitalHealth EHR will be available to eye care providers exclusively through Uprise, a practice management and EHR solution from VisionWeb, a provider of cloud-based solutions for eye care professionals.

Truven Health Analytics has announced that Baptist Memorial Health Care has selected the company to integrate clinical referential and patient education resources into its Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in its hospitals throughout Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi.

Healthland, Inc., a provider of healthcare information technology solutions to acute and post-acute care providers, has announced the appointment of healthcare industry veteran Chris Bauleke as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 8. Former CEO Angie Franks will serve as Healthland’s President, leading the company’s strategy and market development efforts.
