The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) will hold the 2018 Annual Meeting November 29-30, 2018 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC. The 2-day meeting will gather approximately 1,200 health IT partners and will include a combination of plenaries and breakout sessions each day. The plenary sessions will include keynote addresses and panel discussions. They look forward to seeing you in Washington!

FINAL ONC Annual Meeting Agenda Available
The final agenda for the 2018 Annual Meeting, Highlighting Progress, Driving Success, is now available. ONC is delighted to be welcoming U.S. Senators Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) along with Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services, Eric Hargan, to this year’s mainstage. Registration is full, but you can join us online for parts of the event. The plenary sessions will be webcast, and the slides from breakout sessions will be available in the weeks following the meeting on HealthIT.gov.

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) is at the forefront of the administration’s health IT efforts and is a resource to the entire health system to support the adoption of health information technology and the promotion of nationwide health information exchange to improve health care. ONC is organizationally located within the Office of the Secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

ONC is the principal federal entity charged with coordination of nationwide efforts to implement and use the most advanced health information technology and the electronic exchange of health information. The position of National Coordinator was created in 2004, through an Executive Order, and legislatively mandated in the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH Act) of 2009.
