WEDI Survey: ICD-10 Delay Gives Healthcare More Times but Less Readiness

By Sarianne Gruber – In a letter from Mr. Jim Daley, Past–Chair of WEDI, to Sylvia Mathews Burwell, Secretary Department of Health and Human Services, Daley accounts that the “delay has had a negative impact on some readiness activities”. The Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) released the results of its February 2015 ICD-10 Industry Readiness Survey.


EHNAC Releases Final Criteria for PMS Accreditation Program

The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC), a non-profit standards development organization and accrediting body for organizations that electronically exchange healthcare data, announced the adoption of final criteria for its Practice Management System Accreditation Program (PMSAP).



WEDI Issues ICD-10 Readiness Survey

WEDI is conducting an ICD-10 readiness survey to determine progress towards the Oct. 1, 2015 deadline.The survey is timely given the House subcommittee hearing last Wednesday where lawmakers generally agreed ICD-10 should not be delayed.


New Report Indicates ICD-10 Delay Has Hurt Provider Readiness

The Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI), has released its findings from a August 2014 ICD-10 Industry Readiness Survey. WEDI has been conducting ICD-10 readiness surveys since 2009. The surveys measure industry progress and help identify where providers may be struggling with compliance.
