ONC Says ‘Refresh’ Their Health IT Dashboard

Dashboard.HealthIT.Gov Adds 100,000+ New Data Points

The ONC’s Health IT Dashboard presents key information and data to enable collaborative monitoring of the impact of federal policies, programs, and research activities related to health IT. Datasets and statistics are updated regularly and includes summary information about all of ONC’s HITECH grant programs.

The Health IT Dashboard also includes provider participation numbers. You can view and track progress through the CMS Electronic Health Record Incentive Programs dashboard.

In an email communication the ONC suggests visitors to the dashboard check out the following:

  • Share a dashboard statistic using ONC’s new Health IT Quick-Stats project, available at http://dashboard.healthit.gov/quickstats. This new data science project from ONC is focused on socializing data and statistics derived from the Health IT Dashboard datasets. Check out the first 3 quick-stats or contact us at ONCRequest@hhs.gov to recommend a new Quick-Stat project.
  • Follow the Regional Extension Center Program’s progress at helping over 130,000 health care providers adopt EHRs and demonstrate meaningful use. The REC dashboard was recently updated with data through March 2013, and now includes an refreshed historical dataset with the last 6-months time series data at http://dashboard.healthit.gov/data;
  • Explore the Health IT Workforce Program dashboard to see where in the America ONC’s community college grantees have trained over 16,680 health IT professionals to become skilled members of the health IT transformations
