Reminder: Applications for the 2020 Promoting Interoperability Hardship and Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances Exception are Due December 31. If you are interested in applying for a Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Promoting Interoperability Hardship Exception or Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances Exception for the 2020 Performance Year of MIPS, you must submit your application to CMS by Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Reminder: Update Your Billing Info by November 13 for Your APM Incentive Payment. The Quality Payment Program website includes 2020 Alternative Payment Model (APM) Incentive Payment details. To access information on the incentive amount and organization paid, clinicians and surrogates can log in to the QPP website.

Updated Quality Reporting Document Architecture (QRDA) Category I Conformance (CONF) Statement Resource to support calendar year (CY) 2020 electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) reporting for the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting Program and the Medicare and Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Programs for Eligible Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals.

Radiation Oncology Model Delay – CMS has received feedback from a number of stakeholders about the challenges of preparing to implement the Radiation Oncology (RO) Model by January 1, 2021. Based on this feedback, CMS intends to delay the RO Model start date to July 1, 2021. They are pursuing rulemaking to make this change.

CMS has a new rural health care listserv dedicated to sharing information about programs, policies and resources to help ensure rural populations have access to quality health care. To subscribe here and look for Outreach and Education, then Rural Health.
