NextGen Healthcare’s NextGen Share Receives Full DirectTrust Accreditation from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission
NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, LLC. (@NextGen), a leading provider of healthcare information systems and connectivity solutions, along with its sister company, Mirth, LLC, a global leader in health information technology, announced that their Health Information Services Providers (HISP) solution, NextGen® Share, has achieved full accreditation with the Direct Trusted Agent Accreditation Program (DTAAP) from DirectTrust.org and the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). NextGen Healthcare and Mirth are both wholly owned subsidiaries of Quality Systems, Inc.

NC HIE Partners with Liberty Healthcare to Provide Connectivity to Skilled Nursing Facilities Statewide
The North Carolina Health Information Exchange (NC HIE) (@nc_hie) has partnered with Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services to provide HIE connectivity for Liberty Healthcare’s 21 skilled nursing facilities across North Carolina. Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Halifax County in Weldon, N.C. is the pilot site that went live on the HIE Network at the end of June, and NC HIE will continue to launch connectivity for the remaining 20 skilled nursing facilities in the coming months through this collaboration.  Read press release.

Allscripts Connects to State of Arkansas HIE
Allscripts (@Allscripts) and the State of Arkansas have announced that Allscripts electronic health record (EHR) solutions are now fully connected to the state’s healthcare information exchange (HIE) for more efficient and effective exchange of critical patient information to improve the quality and delivery of care.

Baylor College of Medicine Signs on to Regional Health Information Exchange
Healthconnect (@HealthconnectTXannounced that Baylor College of Medicine has joined the regional health information exchange (HIE). Baylor’s entry is an important step in the integration of health information technologies that enable clinical faculty within an academic setting to enhance transitions of care by easily communicating with both referring physicians and patients.

Allscripts and Clinical Architecture Expand Partnership to Enhance Terminology Management for HIE Clients
Allscripts (@Allscripts) announced that it will integrate Clinical Architecture’s comprehensive terminology management system, Symedical®, with the Allscripts dbMotion™ health information exchange platform for enhanced vocabulary management.

eHealth Technologies Introduces Image-Enabled Results Delivery
eHealth Technologies, a leading provider of continuity of care solutions, is pleased to announce that two Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) have implemented the company’s latest capability in image sharing — Image-Enabled Results Delivery. This feature is now available through eHealth Technologies’ eHealth Connect® Image Exchange, an industry leading solution that enables medical image and results viewing from within a HIE and HIE participants’ EHRs.

Healtheway and IOD Announce PRISM 6.2 eHealth Exchange Validation
Healtheway, the non-profit, public-private collaborative that supports the eHealth Exchange, and IOD Incorporated, a leading provider of integrated health information management (HIM) solutions for hospitals, healthcare systems and clinics, announced that IOD PRISM 6.2 is now recognized as an eHealth Exchange validated system. As the first HIM HIT vendor to receive validation, IOD’s customers will experience a significantly reduced level of effort and cost associated with onboarding to the eHealth Exchange through the PRISM platform.
