NextGen Healthcare Achieves Vendor Agnostic Interoperability
NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, LLC. (@NextGen), a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: QSII) and a leading provider of healthcare information systems and connectivity solutions, announced it now is capable of successfully transmitting clinical care information between disparate technology platforms, thereby achieving vendor agnostic interoperability.  Read press release.

UT Physicians Joins Southeast Texas’ Health Information Network
Greater Houston Healthconnect (@HealthconnectTX) announced that UT Physicians, the medical group practice of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth – @UTHealth) Medical School, has signed on to join the regional health information network. Healthconnect serves as a secure technology network that connects area hospitals, physician practices, community health clinics, and laboratories so that patient health records, images and test results can be shared and accessed electronically from the point-of-care for improved safety and quality of care.  Read press release.

Colorado Regional Health Information Organization Selects Sandlot Solutions to Expand Clinical Interoperability Capabilities
Sandlot Solutions (@SandlotSolution) announced its partnership with the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO – @CORHIO) to extend health information exchange and clinical interoperability capabilities for community-based healthcare organizations, including hospitals, large independent physician associations (IPAs), payers and accountable care organizations (ACOs). In 2010, CORHIO began implementing technology to aggregate inpatient data across its participant network. To further support Colorado healthcare providers as they shift from fee-for-service to value-based payment models, CORHIO will now leverage additional technology capabilities through Sandlot Solutions to deliver increased connectivity at the community level — particularly for ambulatory facilities.  Read press release.

Vigilance Health and Sandlot Solutions Partner on Demonstrate Improved Quality Program for California
Sandlot Solutions, a leading health interoperability and analytics provider announced that it has partnered with Vigilance Health (@VigilanceHIT), a healthcare solutions organization that operates one of the largest extension centers in California, covering 21 counties. Vigilance provides technical services and support to a large number of physicians, independent physician associations (IPAs) and other healthcare providers in the state of California. The Demonstrate Improved Quality Program enables California providers and other organizations to manage risk and to thrive in the value-based healthcare payment model. Access My Records Patient Portal Now Available on Motorola Solutions’ ET1 Tablet
Access My Records (@AccessMyRecords), a leading provider of integrated patient portal solutions for electronic health records (EHR), electronic medical records (EMR) software companies and health information exchanges (HIE), announced that AMR Patient Portal version 2.0 certified ONC 2014 compliant will now be available preloaded on Motorola Solutions’ ET1 tablet for use in hospitals and healthcare organizations.  Read press release.

Rockcastle Regional Hospital Goes Live with MEDHOST YourCareLink to Send Public Health Information to the State
MEDHOST, Inc. (@MEDHOSTinc), a provider of market-leading enterprise, departmental and healthcare engagement solutions, announced that Rockcastle Regional Hospital and Respiratory Care Center, located in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, is successfully submitting public health data through MEDHOST YourCareLink to the Kentucky Health Information Exchange (KHIE). Halfpenny Technologies, Inc. (@HalfpennyTech) announced that it has entered into an agreement with Janssen Diagnostics, LLC that will supplement the unique clinical data needs of Janssen’s AVIGA™ EHR. The AVIGA™ electronic health record is uniquely designed to support the data and federal reporting needs of providers specializing in HIV/AIDS healthcare. MiHIN and MHIN Connect to Expand Support for Secure Health Information Sharing
MHIN (MichianaHealth Information Network), one of the nation’s leading health information exchanges, announced that it has joined Michigan’s growing community of electronic healthcare data sharing as the newest Qualified Data Sharing Organization (QO) with the Michigan Health Information Network (MiHIN), the state-designated entity for the exchange of health information in Michigan.
