EHNAC Partners with OmniSystems, Inc. to Extend Reach Internationally

OmniSystems will support EHNAC’s growth throughout the United Kingdom and Caribbean while leveraging the firm’s technical and consulting expertise within these markets

The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC) (@EHNAC), a non-profit standards development organization and accrediting body for organizations that electronically exchange healthcare data, announced a collaborative partnership with OmniSystems, Inc. (@OmniSystemsInc), a full-service information technology firm providing systems engineering, software development, cybersecurity, and consulting services. This collaboration enables OmniSystems to offer EHNAC’s accreditation programs, cybersecurity framework, and consultative services to their healthcare stakeholder customers in the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, and other international markets.

Through this collaboration, EHNAC’s 18 accreditation programs will now be available to current and prospective OmniSystems’ customers internationally, as part of the company’s cybersecurity and privacy service offerings. A steering committee, comprised of representatives from EHNAC and OmniSystems has been developed to evaluate areas of synergistic expertise and to outline future growth plans.

“As the threat of ransomware and other cyberattacks continues to increase year over year on both the international and domestic fronts, it is critical for healthcare organizations to safeguard the protected health information (PHI) within their care,” said Lee Barrett, executive director of EHNAC. “The collaboration with OmniSystems will extend our ability to ensure that healthcare organizations continue to mitigate cyber and ransomware security risks and meet their government’s specific standards and regulatory requirements.”

Echoing this sentiment, Ian Tomlinson, OmniSystems’ president added, “This collaborative partnership with EHNAC will further enhance OmniSystems’ Cybersecurity and Risk Management programs deployed in the government and civilian markets. OmniSystems currently supports the protection of more than seven million citizens’ data across its service portfolio. OmniSystems continues to enhance its Cybersecurity program offering as cyber threats evolve and change daily. Our collaboration with EHNAC furthers our goals of continued risk mitigation for our clients.”

OmniSystems provides enterprise solutions and consultation that transform government public health departments, medical practices and hospitals while improving performance and creating cost efficiencies. The company develops and maintains strategic partnerships with well-known subject matter experts who understand the populations being served and are experienced in providing technical expertise.

“Information security and a solid cybersecurity infrastructure play equally important roles in providing the highest level of safety and assurance to the healthcare customers we serve,” said Maxine Elliott, director of health information technology at OmniSystems. “As we continue to develop and implement the technological solutions that our customers need, our partnership with EHNAC is crucial to ensuring we will provide clients with the highest level of quality assurance programs in the areas of privacy, security and standards.”
