Day 9 – HIMSS in 2016 Returns to Las Vegas

number9-red-200On Day 9 of our 12 Days of Christmas Posts there will be dancing all night long at the 2016 HIMSS as the biggest health IT conference returns to Vegas, the real city that never sleeps. HIMSS16 is scheduled for February 29 – March 4 at the Sands Expo. The theme this year is Transforming Health through IT.

Here are 9 things you need to know as you make your preparations.

  2. Follow or comment on all the action on Twitter, hashtag #HIMSS16.

  6. New on the conference website, the HIMSS16 Digital Brochure. Flip through the full and interactive brochure on your laptop, tablet, phone, etc.
  7. Don’t miss the HIMSS Opening reception on February 29th at 6 pm in Exhibit Hall G. The recption is open to all attendees.
  8. By the time HIMSS16 arrives a Super Bowl champ will have been crowned. The Denver Broncos are in the playoff mix with a 10-4 record and sitting at the top of the AFC West. If he gets healthy, Peyton Manning may, or may not, get the starting QB role back. No matter what happens, there’s no arguing he’s one of the greatest QB’s the NFL has ever seen, having been named the league’s only five-time MVP and is a 13-time Pro Bowl selection. Manning is the closing keynote for HIMSS and is sure to be an entertaining speaker.
