CMMI Director to Open NAACOS Virtual Conference

New CMS Innovation Center Director, Elizabeth Fowler, J.D., Ph.D., is confirmed to open the NAACOS Spring Conference on April 20. Dr. Fowler is a highly-regarded health policy expert with extensive experience in federal government, philanthropy, and industry. She will update conference attendees on the latest news from CMMI.

Journalists are welcome to join our Spring 2021 Conference, which will be hosted online between April 20 and 30. Notable sessions include a plenary with former CMS Administrator Mark McClellan, along with discussions of timely topics such as health equity, remote patient monitoring, Direct Contracting and ACO quality measurement. There will also be an on-the-record town hall with key CMS career staff on April 30.

As Congress and the new Biden administration discuss the future of health delivery and payment reform, accountable care organizations are well positioned to be an important policy piece to lower spending and improve quality. The NAACOS Spring Conference provides an opportunity to dive into the issues currently facing payment and delivery system reform.
