CHIME Looking For New Organization Leader

CHIME Begins National Search for New President

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has announced it is creating a “new strategic leadership role to guide the organization’s future growth.” With the importance of health IT and the trusted role CHIME has become to the ONC, the organization must “advance its mission, improve its organizational strength, and continue to have a police leadership role.” The new president and CEO will provide strategic leadership for the CHIME organization and will work in concert with the current President, Rich Correll and the CHIME Board of Trustees to ensure consistency and focus as board members change.

They are looking for an experienced healthcare CIO that can serve as ambassador for the organization and the Heath IT industry. This will include speaking, writing, and attending major functions to keep and increase the organization’s prominent position in the industry. The CHIME Board will begin a national search immediately with the goal of introducing the new President and CEO during the CHIME/HIMSS CIO Forum in March.
