CMS is allowing clinicians, groups, virtual groups, and Alternative Payment Model Entities to request Merit-based Incentive Payment System performance category reweighting for PY 2020 under their EUC policy through November 29, 2021 at 8 p.m. ET.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services is rescinding the Medicare Coverage of Innovative Technology and Definition of “Reasonable and Necessary” (MCIT/R&N) final rule because of concerns that the provisions in the final rule may not have been sufficient to protect Medicare patients.
CMS published the CY 2022 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule, which includes the final policies for the 2022 performance year of the Quality Payment Program. The rule affects traditional MIPS, MIPS Value Pathways, the APM Performance Pathway, Advanced APMs, and the Medicare Shared Savings Program.
