Community-Based Health Information Exchanges Choose Royal Solutions Group as Software Solutions Provider
Royal Solutions Group LLC, a provider of EHR-as-a-Service software solutions to the Healthcare industry, recently deployed its connection and integration engine, Report Guard®, to community based Health Information Exchanges (HIE).

The Report Guard® product is the innovation behind Royal’s HIE-as-a-Service platform, working behind the scenes to connect to external EMR systems and any other healthcare systems of record without the use of a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Royal Solutions Group CMO Rafal Pisarski says: “Eliminating the necessity for VPN eliminates cost and complexity, as well as a common point-of-failure between interconnected systems. HealthInfoNet Releases RFI for HIE Patient Access Partner
As part of the State Innovation Model test grant, HealthInfoNet is seeking one pilot partner to link their organizations patient portal or personal health record (PHR) to the health information exchange (HIE). Once linked HealthInfoNet will use “blue button” technology standards to allow patients to download a continuity of care document (CCD) that gives them a summary of their statewide HIE record. Tennessee Healthcare Providers Streamline the Process of Communicating Patient Information
The Tennessee Office of eHealth Initiatives’ Health eShare Direct Project has been the driving force in assisting more than 4,000 healthcare professionals in Tennessee to embrace Direct Technology. Direct facilitates secure health information exchange (HIE) through the electronic transmission of patient health information, closing the gap in healthcare communication by painting a full picture of a patient’s healthcare status for all providers involved in the continuum of care.  Read press release.

OmniMD Achieves EHNAC e-Prescribing of Controlled Substances Certificate for Prescribing Applications
OmniMD, a healthcare solution of Integrated Systems Management, Inc. announced that it has been certified with the e-Prescribing of Controlled Substances Certificate Program for Prescribing Applications (EPCSCP-Prescribing) from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). Orion Health™ Rhapsody® Integration Engine Enables Vermont’s HIE
Orion Health, a leading global, privately-owned health software organization, announced that it has signed an agreement with Vermont Information Technology Leaders, Inc. (VITL) to incorporate its Rhapsody® Integration Engine into the Vermont state-wide Health Information Exchange (HIE) which is running on Medicity’s HIE solution. VITL is the exclusive operator of the Vermont Health Information Exchange (HIE).  Read press release.

South Country Health Alliance Chooses Sandlot Solutions for Proven Technology, Analytics and Quality Improvements
Sandlot Solutions expanded its reach in the health plan market. The company announced that it was selected by South Country Health Alliance (SCHA), a county-based health plan serving 12 counties in Minnesota, to support its transition to value-based healthcare. SCHA will leverage the use of Sandlot’s Connect, Dimensions, and Metrix products and technologies to support the new pay-for-performance contracts. Sandlot Solutions, certified by the State of Minnesota, is one of only four organizations authorized to provide health information exchange services in the state and facilitates data sharing between providers helping to decrease fragmentation and duplication of healthcare services.  Read the press release.
