Doctor On Demand Partners with Walmart to Deliver Virtual Primary Care
Doctor on Demand (@drondemand) is proud to partner with Walmart to bring their associates accessible, quality medical and behavioral health care for just $4 a visit. In our newest program, we’ll expand those benefits to include preventive health, chronic care management, urgent care, and behavioral health for associates. Come 2020, Walmart associates in Colorado, Minnesota, and Wisconsin will be able to select their own Doctor On Demand Virtual Primary Care physician, and be supported by a care team.

Since Parsley Health’s Series A in April of 2018, the company has raised an additional $26M in new funding.

Teladoc Health to Announce Third-Quarter 2019 Financial Results
Teladoc Health, Inc. (@teladochealth), a HIPAA-compliant telehealth communications provider, announced that it will release third-quarter 2019 results on Wednesday, October 30th, 2019, after the market closes. In conjunction, the company will host a conference call to review results at 4:30 p.m. E.T. on the same day.

New UnitedHealthcare App Now Gives Millions of Plan Participants On-Demand Access to Virtual Visits
Millions of Americans now have access to on-demand telemedicine services 24/7 with the new UnitedHealthcare app. The UnitedHealthcare (@uhc) app provides health information for people on the go, offering plan participants a single source to help maintain and improve their well-being, access care and make the most of their health benefits. Eligible plan participants can now use the app to directly schedule and conduct a Virtual Visit with a doctor, helping eliminate the need for multiple sign-ins or to download a separate app.

SOC Telemed Launches Revenue Cycle Management Service Offering
SOC Telemed (@SOCTelemed) announced the completion of the beta testing and pilot stages for its revenue cycle management offering. In use since January, the innovative program is currently in place at strategic partner hospitals around the country and transitions the responsibility of billing for telemedicine services and associated financial liability from the hospital, directly to SOC.

CVS Rolls out Telehealth Service in Six New States
The Chain Store Age reports that the CVS Health MinuteClinic retail medical clinic is providing video visits to more consumers. MinuteClinic walk-in medical clinics located at CVS stores in Michigan, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Oregon, and Washington now offer care for minor illnesses, minor injuries and skin through video visits. This telehealth service provides customers 2 and older with access to care 24 hours a day, seven days a week from their mobile device or computer, including via the CVS Pharmacy app.

Fruit Street Telehealth Platform Selected for Clinical Trial to Reduce Cognitive Decline andDementia Risk
Fruit Street Health, a digital health and telemedicine company, announced that its platform has been selected by a research team at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), an affiliate of Harvard Medical School and a founding member of Partners HealthCare, to study different ways to improve brain healthy behaviors in individuals at risk for cognitive decline and dementia.
