HealthSYNC of Louisiana

HealthSYNC of Louisiana (@HealthSYNCofLA) is a physician-led health information network delivered in partnership with the Louisiana State Medical Society (LSMS) offering a suite of health information technology tools to help health professionals across the state of Louisiana CONNECT. ANALYZE. ENGAGE. and TRANSFORM. the healthcare industry.

Louisiana Physicians Connect Statewide Through HealthSYNC – HealthSYNC, in partnership with the Louisiana State Medical Society, is pleased to announce The Pathology Laboratory of Lake Charles, has joined the newly formed, physician-led, statewide health information exchange. For more than 50 years, The Pathology Laboratory has provided a full range of quality pathology services in southwest Louisiana. healtheConnect Alaska

healtheConnect Alaska (@akehealth) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, organized and managed by Alaskans and tasked by the State of Alaska’s Department of Health and Social Services, to provide safe, secure transport for health information in order to improve quality and safety of patient care and increase efficiencies for hospitals and medical practices. healtheConnect Alaska provides health information exchange and direct secure messaging services to more than 20 hospitals and 450 healthcare organizations across Alaska.

healtheConnect Alaska is recruiting new members for its Board of Directors through public nomination. There are three vacant board seats with remaining 2018 terms to fulfill.

Connecticut – CTHealthLink

CTHealthLink (@CTHealthLink) is a physician-led health information network delivered in partnership with the Connecticut State Medical Society (CSMS) offering a suite of health information technology tools to help health professionals across the state of Connecticut CONNECT. ANALYZE. ENGAGE. and TRANSFORM. the healthcare industry.

California – Manifest Medex

Manifest MedEx is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health information exchanges (HIEs), combining 11.7 million claims records from Blue Shield of California and Anthem Blue Cross and 5 million clinical patient records from 150 participating partners. Manifest MedEx supports physicians, nurses, hospitals and health plans in sharing critical health information to ensure that patients receive the safest, highest-quality care possible. The California Integrated Data Exchange and Inland Empire Health Information Exchange merged to create Manifest Medex.

Manifest MedEx Growing Quickly as California’s Nonprofit Health Data Utility – Manifest MedEx is announcing major new progress toward the goal of connecting healthcare in California. The 18-month-old organization is announcing that it is adding Heritage California and Hill Physicians — two of the largest medical groups in the state — and Stanford Health Care to the network. This will bring an estimated 1.5 million patients to the health information network already covering more than 11 million Californians. As California’s health data utility, MX is quickly building on its mission of giving hospitals, providers and health plans the data they need to improve quality, reduce costs and improve patient experience. During the first six months of 2018, the nonprofit has already added major new participants, launched new products, created new economic incentives, and grown its team.

Maine – HealthInfoNet

HealthInfoNet (@hinfonet) is a Maine-based, independent nonprofit designated by the State of Maine to operate Maine’s statewide health information exchange. The HIE links medical information from separate health care sites to create a single electronic patient health record. This record is accessible to a patient’s authorized health care providers to support treatment. HealthInfoNet provides a secure, standardized electronic system where health care providers can share important patient information, giving them the tools they need to make more informed treatment decisions, especially in an emergency.

Health Share Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania (HSX)

PA-HSX-200HealthShare Exchange (@HealthShareExch) is the greater Philadelphia region’s health information exchange for the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region. HSX is a unique, membership-dues-supported nonprofit formed by the Delaware Valley’s hospitals/health systems and healthcare insurers that links the electronic medical record systems of different hospital health systems, medical centers, and clinics — and the claims data of healthcare insurers — to make this information accessible at inpatient and outpatient points of care, including medical practice offices.

Ohio – CliniSync

OH-CliniSync-200CliniSync (@CliniSync) is a nonprofit, independent, private organization originally funded from HITECH and the ONC. The Ohio Health Information Partnership assisted providers in EHR adoption and the infrastructure for statewide HIE. It was named CliniSync, which signifies Clinical data synchronization.

Upcoming Webinar: “Improving Ohio’s Health: A Final Perspective” – On September 3, 2018, the CliniSyncPLUS team will provide participants with an update of the work completed as a sub-awardee, with the Ohio Department of Health, for two grants from the CDC.

Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network (WISHIN)

wi-shin-twitterIn October 2010 Wisconsin officially announced its intention to designate WISHIN (@WISHIN_Pulse), a not-for-profit organization formed by the Wisconsin Hospital Association, Wisconsin Medical Society, Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality, and Wisconsin Health Information Organization, as the State-designated entity to govern statewide HIE. WISHIN is responsible for implementing Wisconsin’s Strategic and Operational Plan. The plan requires multi-stakeholder collaboration and emphasizes ongoing development of government and policy structures.

At the 2018 WISHIN Summit, you can discover how payers and providers across the state are harnessing the power of vendor-neutral HIE to access critical clinical data and unlock valuable insights from it. Join WISHIN on November 14, 2018, at the Glacier Canyon Lodge in Wisconsin Dells to learn how real health care stakeholders in Wisconsin are using WISHIN to access the clinical data they need, turn it into actionable insight, and solve the patient puzzle.

Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN)

DHIN-twitterDelaware Health Information Network’s (@DHIN_HIE) roots reach back to 1997 when the Delaware General Assembly enacted the organization as a public/private partnership. The objective was, and remains today, to advance the creation of a statewide health information network that addresses the state’s needs for timely, reliable and relevant health care information. In 2007, DHIN “went live” – meaning it became the first operational statewide health information exchange in the nation.

New York -Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY)

NY-SHINY-200The SHIN-NY is the only HIE that provides universal access regardless of network or EHR system. New York State has made a significant investment in the SHIN-NY and in 2016 they set a goal of connecting 100% of the PPS across the state to the SHIN-NY. The eight RHIOs that make up the SHIN-NY are working directly with the PPS organizations to meet their needs.

Up to $13,000 For Health Intervention Grants to be Awarded to 10 Orange County Organizations – HealthlinkNY Community Network and The Orange County Department of Health are seeking applications from schools, worksites, community groups, and other organizations that would like to participate in LIFT Orange Up interventions. The applications are intended to act as catalysts for the development and implementation of community action plan objectives. The LIFT Orange Up grants are intended to implement policy, system, or environmental changes in representative sectors of Orange County, including community-based institutions, worksites, schools, healthcare facilities, and the community at large.

Interoperability With Human Services EMR Vendor Marks Another Hixny First – Hixny  (@HIXNY) has added PrecisionCare Software to its electronic medical records (EMR) vendor list, raising the number of interoperable systems above two dozen. The relationship with New Paltz-based PrecisionCare strengthens Hixny’s ability to support population health efforts by opening the door for more human service organizations to join the health information exchange (HIE). Connecting with these entities, which play an important role in patient care, has been a Hixny goal for several years.

 

Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN)

MI-MiHIN-200The Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (@MiHIN) is Michigan’s initiative to continuously improve health care quality, efficiency, and patient safety by promoting secure, electronic exchange of health information through the MiHIN Health Information Services Cloud (HISC). MiHIN represents a growing network of public and private organizations working to overcome data sharing barriers, reduce costs, and ultimately advance the health of Michigan’s population.

Colorado Regional Health Information Exchange (CORHIO)

CORHIO200CORHIO (@CORHIO) manages one of the country’s largest and most successful health information exchange networks and works to improve healthcare through the use of information technology and data exchange.

CORHIO’s Focus on Emergency Medical Services – With Colorado House Bill 1032 signed into law earlier this year allowing data from EMS encounters to be exchanged, CORHIO is dedicated, more than ever, to improving data exchange in the EMS world. Zeke Peters has stepped into a new role at CORHIO as Director of Emergency Medical Services to develop and build support for new and existing EMS, public health and emergency management uses of CORHIO’s Health Information Exchange (HIE).

Michigan – Great Lakes Health Connect (GLHC)

GLHC twitterGreat Lakes Health Connect (@GLHC_HIE) is one of the largest and most successful Health Information Exchanges in the country and is growing rapidly. GLHC is committed to creating care-connected communities across Michigan. Their vision is to enhance patient experience, improve health outcomes, and reduce costs across the continuum of care.

Maintaining Momentum in Care Transformation – GLHC Marketing and Communications Manager, Brian Mack reflects on some of the successful experiences and partnerships at Great Lakes Health Connect and shares some of the common characteristics of what he thinks “makes up the ‘secret sauce’ of innovation culture.”

Texas – Healthcare Access San Antonio (HASA)

TX-hasa_twitterHealthcare Access San Antonio (@HASA_TX) offers value-based, patient-centered information services intended to improve the health status of individuals and the communities it serves. HASA brings together healthcare providers from larger health systems to single physician practices-to enable the secure exchange of health information throughout Central Texas, ensuring that providers have this information securely at their fingertips when and where they need it.

Kansas Health Information Network (KHIN)

KS-KHINKHIN (@khininfo) capitalizes on the unique strengths that local communities and regions bring to the HIE and ensure that individual regions or communities have the decision-making authority to address local or regional health-care initiatives.

Missouri – Missouri Health Connect (MHC)

MO-HC_twitterMissouri Health Connect (@HealthConnectMO), a non‐profit organization, is the state‐designated HIE organization that provides a secure and private electronic platform for sharing health information.

MHC Selects Shirley Tyson as Senior Technology Director – Missouri Health Connection recently announced that Shirley Tyson, former Chief of Operations and Chief Technical Officer for the Office of Health Information Technology with the Arkansas Department of Health, has joined the MHC team as the Senior Technology Director.

Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE)

IHIE-200Indiana Health Information Exchange (@IndianaHIE) operates the nation’s largest health information exchange, providing a secure, robust and interoperable health information technology network that connects over 150 hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, community health clinics and other healthcare providers.

Diameter Health and Indiana Health Information Exchange Continue Collaboration Following Successful Pilot – Diameter Health, an enabler of clinical insight through the cleansing, de-duplication and enrichment of clinical data across the care continuum, has announced that Indiana Health Information Exchange, the health information exchange with the largest interorganizational clinical data repository in the country, will roll out its deployment of the Fusion, Analyze, and Quality applications to automate processes and standardize data interchange between payers, providers, and other constituents following a successful pilot period.
