SHIEC & Diameter Health Form New Technology Best Practices Standardization Alliance

The Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC) and Diameter Health, the company that cures clinical data disorder, have expanded their partnership to now include special pricing for SHIEC members in order to help establish best practices standardization. SHIEC member organizations will benefit from preferred pricing on Diameter Health’s complete product line, including Fusion, Analyze and Quality solutions.

 

HealtHIE Nevada

HealtHIE Nevada (@HealtHIENevada) is a private, nonprofit, community-based HIE dedicated to connecting healthcare organizations by managing real time, secure, and accurate exchange of clinical information. HealtHIE Nevada operates throughout the entire state, and is the only HIE open and available to the entire Nevada healthcare community.

HealtHIE Nevada Emphasizes ‘Connecting to Care’ Among Health Care Providers – HealtHIE Nevada is the only statewide health information exchange that offers real-time, secure exchange of clinical patient data. To continue growth in connecting the Nevada health care community, it has updated its logo and suite of products and services. In crafting its new logo, HealtHIE Nevada envisioned an icon that would capture its patient-centric approach of collecting and organizing data for treating providers, payers and public health professionals.

Connecticut – CTHealthLink

CTHealthLink (@CTHealthLink) is a physician-led health information network delivered in partnership with the Connecticut State Medical Society (CSMS) offering a suite of health information technology tools to help health professionals across the state of Connecticut CONNECT. ANALYZE. ENGAGE. and TRANSFORM. the healthcare industry.

Nebraska Health Information Initiative (NeHII)

Nebraska Health Information Initiative (@NeHIIorg) is leading the effort to create a secure, online, web-based Health Information Exchange designed to serve the state of Nebraska. Improved delivery of health care information and reduced health care costs are good for all citizens of Nebraska. The state has a proud tradition and reputation of providing the finest health care possible to its citizens. The HIE will help health care providers take health care to the next level.

NeHII Announces New Chief Executive Officer – Dr. Michael White, NeHII Board President, and the NeHII Board of Directors are pleased to announce the hiring of Jaime Bland as NeHII’s Chief Executive Officer starting June 1, 2018. Jaime is assuming the role of CEO upon the retirement of Deb Bass. Jaime Bland DNP, RN is the current Director of Business Development responsible for value added services for NeHII focusing on expanding capabilities in supporting quality reporting and population health analytics.

Maine – HealthInfoNet

HealthInfoNet (@hinfonet) is a Maine-based, independent nonprofit designated by the State of Maine to operate Maine’s statewide health information exchange. The HIE links medical information from separate health care sites to create a single electronic patient health record. This record is accessible to a patient’s authorized health care providers to support treatment. HealthInfoNet provides a secure, standardized electronic system where health care providers can share important patient information, giving them the tools they need to make more informed treatment decisions, especially in an emergency.

HealthInfoNet’s Board of Directors Welcomes New Members – HealthInfoNet is pleased to welcome two new members to the organization’s Board of Directors. They are Nancy Birkhimer, MPH – Manager, Accreditation and Performance Improvement, Maine Center for Disease Control & Prevention, and Stefanie Nadeau – Medicaid Director, Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Office of MaineCare Services.

PA-HSX-200Health Share Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania (HSX)

HealthShare Exchange (@HealthShareExch) is the greater Philadelphia region’s health information exchange for the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region. HSX is a unique, membership-dues-supported nonprofit formed by the Delaware Valley’s hospitals/health systems and healthcare insurers that links the electronic medical record systems of different hospital health systems, medical centers, and clinics — and the claims data of healthcare insurers — to make this information accessible at inpatient and outpatient points of care, including medical practice offices.

Ohio – CliniSync

OH-CliniSync-200CliniSync (@CliniSync) is a nonprofit, independent, private organization originally funded from HITECH and the ONC. The Ohio Health Information Partnership assisted providers in EHR adoption and the infrastructure for statewide HIE. It was named CliniSync, which signifies Clinical data synchronization.

Dan Paoletti’s Testimony to House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee – Dan Paoletti, CEO of the Ohio Health Information Partnership, which manages CliniSync, recently testified to the House Ways and Means Committee. The testimony focused on the evolution of health information technology in Ohio over the past decade and the critical role that collaboration and community trust play in sustaining this model.

Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN)

DHIN-twitterDelaware Health Information Network’s (@DHIN_HIE) roots reach back to 1997 when the Delaware General Assembly enacted the organization as a public/private partnership. The objective was, and remains today, to advance the creation of a statewide health information network that addresses the state’s needs for timely, reliable and relevant health care information. In 2007, DHIN “went live” – meaning it became the first operational statewide health information exchange in the nation.

Governor Carney Signs Joint Resolution Honoring DHIN’s Work – A locally developed, nationally recognized health information exchange, Delaware Health Information Network was recently honored by Governor John Carney with the signing of a joint resolution. Senate Concurrent Resolution 54, sponsored by State Senator Brian Bushweller and State Representative Trey Paradee, recognized DHIN as an exemplary model for public-private partnerships and as a growing health information technology organization based in Kent County.

Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN)

MI-MiHIN-200The Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (@MiHIN) is Michigan’s initiative to continuously improve health care quality, efficiency, and patient safety by promoting secure, electronic exchange of health information through the MiHIN Health Information Services Cloud (HISC). MiHIN represents a growing network of public and private organizations working to overcome data sharing barriers, reduce costs, and ultimately advance the health of Michigan’s population.

Connecting Michigan for Health Conference Celebrates Breakthroughs in Health Information Technology – For more than ten years, the Connecting Michigan for Health conference has showcased thought leaders and accomplishments from across the health information technology community. This year brings a special focus on the maturity and availability of technology today that can improve healthcare business processes across the state. Join MiHIN for Connecting Michigan for Health X: BREAKTHROUGH, at the Lansing Center in Lansing, Michigan, June 6-8, 2018. Registration is now open.

Colorado Regional Health Information Exchange (CORHIO)

CORHIO200CORHIO (@CORHIO) manages one of the country’s largest and most successful health information exchange networks and works to improve healthcare through the use of information technology and data exchange.

CORHIO Joins Ranks of Innovators Locating at Catalyst HTI – In an initiative to centralize Colorado’s most innovative leaders in the healthcare industry, CORHIO will open a branch office and workspace at Catalyst HTI, a health technology innovation center located in Denver’s River North (RiNo) District this summer. The expansion will place CORHIO at the core of a collaborative hub with established public, private and nonprofit organizations, as well as more than 50 startup companies from every corner of the healthcare industry.

Michigan – Great Lakes Health Connect (GLHC)

GLHC twitterGreat Lakes Health Connect (@GLHC_HIE) is one of the largest and most successful Health Information Exchanges in the country and is growing rapidly. GLHC is committed to creating care-connected communities across Michigan. Their vision is to enhance patient experience, improve health outcomes, and reduce costs across the continuum of care.

Great Lakes Health Connect Joins University of Michigan Research Project to Understand Scope and Impact of Opioid Abuse – A University of Michigan research project aimed at understanding opioid use reporting is leveraging health information exchange as a basis for gathering clinical data from multiple sources such as emergency medical services, acute care emergency departments, and mortality data from medical examiners. Great Lakes Health Connect is collaborating with the University of Michigan Acute Care Research Unit in expanding their real-time System for Opioid Overdose Surveillance (S.O.S.). The pilot project began in Washtenaw County for its first year, and is now expanding to 3-5 more. Researchers hope to gain a better understanding of how to reduce opioid-related abuse, overdose and death.

Utah Health Information Network (UHIN)

UT-UHIN-200UHIN (@UHIN_HIE) has been in operation since 1993 beginning as a claims “post office.” Today it also operates the Clinical Health Information Exchange (cHIE), which empowers doctors and patients to work together for safer, better-coordinated care by making crucial information available to doctors at the point of care.

Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE)

IHIE-200Indiana Health Information Exchange (@IndianaHIE) operates the nation’s largest health information exchange, providing a secure, robust and interoperable health information technology network that connects over 150 hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, community health clinics and other healthcare providers.
