HealthSYNC of Louisiana

HealthSYNC of Louisiana (@HealthSYNCofLA) is a physician-led health information network delivered in partnership with the Louisiana State Medical Society (LSMS) offering a suite of health information technology tools to help health professionals across the state of Louisiana CONNECT. ANALYZE. ENGAGE. and TRANSFORM. the healthcare industry.

New Tool to Assist Healthcare Providers Combating Opioid Epidemic Launches – Physicians, hospitals, and behavioral health providers participating in the HealthSYNC of Louisiana health information exchange will appreciate access to a new analytic dashboard—Opioid/Controlled Substances. Developed by physicians in response to the widespread opioid crisis in this country, the new tool supplements the currently available Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP). California – Manifest Medex

Manifest MedEx is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health information exchanges (HIEs), combining 11.7 million claims records from Blue Shield of California and Anthem Blue Cross and 5 million clinical patient records from 150 participating partners. Manifest MedEx supports physicians, nurses, hospitals and health plans in sharing critical health information to ensure that patients receive the safest, highest-quality care possible. The California Integrated Data Exchange and Inland Empire Health Information Exchange merged to create Manifest Medex.

Manifest MedEx Partners with HBI Solutions, Adding Real-Time Predictive Analytics to Health Network – Manifest MedEx has selected HBI’s Spotlight Analytics Solution to deliver predictive analytics to its participant organizations to help them identify high-risk patients for targeted care. MX chose HBI as a partner based upon their successful work in providing a broad range of analytics and predictive risk services for health networks across the country.

Manifest MedEx Deploys NextGate’s EMPI for Positive Patient Identification and Coordinated Care Delivery – NextGate, the global leader in healthcare enterprise identification, announced that Manifest MedEx has successfully implemented its Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) as a catalyst for fully-integrated, highly-coordinated care. The EMPI seamlessly connects data from 200+ participating health organizations to enable a trusted, unified health record that promotes operational efficiency, care quality and patient safety for over 11 million Californians.

California – SacValley MedShare

SacValley MedShare (@svmshie) is a member of the California Association of Health Information Exchanges (CAHIE) and serves the 16-county region of California, north of Sacramento, which includes the North Central Valley and the surrounding mountainous terrain. Its region is largely rural and mountainous, with travel limited by climate and season in much of the area. Good communication is critical to coordinate care between primary care, specialists, hospital providers, and skilled nursing care facilities that fulfill a vital role in post-discharge care for many patients.

Myron Machula Retires and Dr. Dorsey-Tyler Joins SVMS Board Of Directors – Myron Machula retired from his position as VP/CFO for Enloe Medical Center and as Board Chair of SacValley MedShare effective December 31, 2018 and Dr. Kevin Dorsey-Tyler, MD, PhD became SacValley MedShare’s newest board member.

Arizona – Health Current

Health Current (@AZHealthCurrent), is a partner that gives providers the information they need to make better clinical decisions and keep people healthy. The HIE believes more complete information is more meaningful. It makes healthcare transformation possible. And Health Current is central to this progress, integrating information technology and care delivery to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.

Diameter Health and Health Current to Address Clinical Data Quality in Arizona – Diameter Health, a leading enabler of clinical insight through the cleansing, deduplication and enrichment of clinical data across the care continuum, has announced that Health Current, Arizona’s health information exchange (HIE), has selected its Fusion and Analyze applications to automate processes and standardize data interchange between payers, providers, and other constituents.

Health Share Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania (HSX)

PA-HSX-200HealthShare Exchange (@HealthShareExch) is the greater Philadelphia region’s health information exchange for the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region. HSX is a unique, membership-dues-supported nonprofit formed by the Delaware Valley’s hospitals/health systems and healthcare insurers that links the electronic medical record systems of different hospital health systems, medical centers, and clinics — and the claims data of healthcare insurers — to make this information accessible at inpatient and outpatient points of care, including medical practice offices.

Sixth Annual HSX Offsite Meeting Brings Impressive Readouts of Board Oversight Areas and Committee Year-End Progress, As Well As New Business Areas, Complemented by Authoritative Security Discussion and Celebration of 2018 HIE Champions – On November 14th, 2018, HSX held its annual board meeting and offsite event, which included special demonstration stations for it’s a various business areas and an authoritative panel presentation on health information technology (HIT) security.

Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network (WISHIN)

wi-shin-twitterIn October 2010 Wisconsin officially announced its intention to designate WISHIN (@WISHIN_Pulse), a not-for-profit organization formed by the Wisconsin Hospital Association, Wisconsin Medical Society, Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality, and Wisconsin Health Information Organization, as the State-designated entity to govern statewide HIE. DE on October 25, 2010. WISHIN is responsible for implementing Wisconsin’s Strategic and Operational Plan. The plan requires multi-stakeholder collaboration and emphasizes ongoing development of government and policy structures.

New York -Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY)

NY-SHINY-200The SHIN-NY is the only HIE that provides universal access regardless of network or EHR system. New York State has made a significant investment in the SHIN-NY and in 2016 they set a goal of connecting 100% of the PPS across the state to the SHIN-NY. The eight RHIOs that make up the SHIN-NY are working directly with the PPS organizations to meet their needs.

Putting Patient Privacy and Security First Healthlinkny Attains HITRUST CSF Certification – HealthlinkNY (@healthlinknyis proud to announce that it has achieved HITRUST CSF certification as part of its ongoing commitment to providing leading-edge patient information security. Achieving HITRUST certification means that HealthlinkNY now complies with the most widely-adopted security framework in the U.S. healthcare industry. The HITRUST security program includes, harmonizes, and cross-references existing, globally recognized standards, regulations, and business requirements, including ISO, NIST, PCI, HIPAA, and New York State laws.

Hixny Achieves Federal ‘Meaningful Use’ Certification Hat Trick – Hixny (@Hixnyrecently completed Meaningful Use (MU) Stage 3 certification as a Health Information Services Provider (HISP) of direct secure messaging. This is the last of its three core components certified through the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology (HIT).

Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN)

MI-MiHIN-200The Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (@MiHIN) is Michigan’s initiative to continuously improve health care quality, efficiency, and patient safety by promoting secure, electronic exchange of health information through the MiHIN Health Information Services Cloud (HISC). MiHIN represents a growing network of public and private organizations working to overcome data sharing barriers, reduce costs, and ultimately advance the health of Michigan’s population.

New Year, New Brand for MiHIN – As the new year is underway, so is new branding for Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services. The brand refresh will position MiHIN to dig deeper into how shared services are developed to advance healthcare for the people of Michigan.

Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN)

Georgia Health Information Network (@GeorgiaHIE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a healthier Georgia by facilitating the use and secure exchange of electronic health information so providers have the information they need at the point of care. GaHIN’s two products, GeorgiaDirect and Georgia ConnectedCare, connect providers statewide and nationally and are free for credentialed, authorized Georgia users.

Dr. Denise Hines, GaHIN Executive Director, Takes on New Role with HIMSS – Denise W. Hines, DHA, PMP, FHIMSS has joined the Executive Leadership Team of HIMSS as Chief Americas Officer (CAO) beginning January 2019. As CAO, Dr. Hines will provide strategy oversight and leadership to HIMSS’s services and offerings in North America, including its professional development and membership programs. She will also oversee key mission-based initiatives such as Women in Health IT, for which she is already an active member and supporter. Colorado Regional Health Information Exchange (CORHIO)

CORHIO200CORHIO (@CORHIO) manages one of the country’s largest and most successful health information exchange networks and works to improve healthcare through the use of information technology and data exchange.

ACO Practices Utilizing Notifications from CORHIO to Improve Care – Colorado medical practices participating in ACOs and other value-based models are relying on Notifications of patient encounters from CORHIO to fill information gaps and provide more informed, proactive care.

CORHIO Welcomes Five New Board Members – Adam Bean of Community Reach Center, Lisa Brown of Metro Community Provider Network, Paula Kautzmann of Colorado Access, Mary Anne Leach of Actuate Health, and Brian Turner of Solvista Health have joined CORHIO’s Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2019.

Michigan – Great Lakes Health Connect (GLHC)

Great Lakes Health Connect (@GLHC_HIE) is one of the largest and most successful Health Information Exchanges in the country and is growing rapidly. GLHC is committed to creating care-connected communities across Michigan. Their vision is to enhance patient experience, improve health outcomes, and reduce costs across the continuum of care.

These organizations are building connections across their communities and the state, reducing the time required and financial burden of exchanging health information, and most importantly providing the right patient care and experience at the right time based on the best available information.

Utah Health Information Network (UHIN)

UT-UHIN-200UHIN (@UHIN_HIE) has been in operation since 1993 beginning as a claims “post office.” Today it also operates the Clinical Health Information Exchange (cHIE), which empowers doctors and patients to work together for safer, better-coordinated care by making crucial information available to doctors at the point of care.

Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE)

IHIE-200Indiana Health Information Exchange (@IndianaHIE) operates the nation’s largest health information exchange, providing a secure, robust and interoperable health information technology network that connects over 150 hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, community health clinics and other healthcare providers.

IHIE is Hiring – IHIE is hiring for the following positions: Java Developer (Solution Engineer I), Java Developer (Solution Engineer II) and Solution Center Specialist.
