ONC 2015 Edition Certification News

If you are participating in federal initiatives and quality reporting, it is fast approaching that your EHR system is 2015 ONC Certified. Under MIPS, eligible clinicians only need a 90 day reporting period in 2019 with a 2015 Edition EHR. However as of now in 2019 CQMs must be reported for the full year so if you are submitting with an EHR then it will need the 2015 Edition for the whole year. However if you are submitting the full year of CQMs through a Registry then you only need the 90 days for the other programs.

Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL) Data Challenge
The ONC Certified Health IT Product List better known as CHPL (pronounced “chapel”) is the authoritative, comprehensive listing of health information technology (health IT) products that have been tested and certified under the ONC Health IT Certification Program. Health IT products are listed on the CHPL after eligible components have been successfully tested by an ONC Authorized Testing Laboratory (ONC-ATL) and certified by an ONC Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB). The Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL) Data Challenge is a call for developers, researchers, and innovators to develop a software application that makes use of the data in the CHPL application programming interfaces (API) or XML files in novel ways. The application should provide solutions to challenges for health care providers, health care consumers, and the health IT community. Submission period ends on October 3st. Learn more.
