National eHealth Collaborative Seeks New Board Members

National eHealth Collaborative (NeHC), a public-private partnership that accelerates effective use of health IT to create a more patient and family centered healthcare system with better outcomes and greater value, today announced a call for applications to serve on the NeHC Board of Directors. Only NeHC members are eligible to serve.

NeHC has a prestigious and engaged Board responsible for governance for the organization. Board members are expected to bring diverse industry knowledge and experience, strategic thinking, a strong commitment to NeHC’s mission and vision, and the ability to help the organization thrive and grow.

“The NeHC Nominations Committee oversees this important process.  We look forward to receiving applications from many highly qualified executives who are interested in serving on our Board of Directors.  We seek strong, seasoned, influential directors committed to building on this vibrant organization’s success and ensuring its ongoing impact on advancing health IT and strengthening patient and family engagement in eHealth,” said Leslie Kelly Hall, NeHC Nominations Committee Chair and Senior Vice President of Policy at Healthwise.

“NeHC has an outstanding Board of Directors who are extraordinarily committed to our mission and have contributed enormously to our success.  It is truly a privilege for me to work alongside some of the most visionary thought leaders in healthcare and I look forward to welcoming new Board members as we go through this transition,” said NeHC CEO Kate Berry.

There are six seats available on the 2014 NeHC Board of Directors.  Applications will be accepted until October 15.  The NeHC Nominations Committee will evaluate the applications and recommend a slate of candidates that will be voted on by NeHC members.  Board members are elected to three-year terms.  The Board meets in-person in Washington, DC on a quarterly basis.
