Robin Healthcare, a health technology company that provides a digital assistant service elegantly leveraging human and artificial intelligence (AI) to free physicians from paperwork, announced the close of $11.5 million in Series A funding led by Norwest Venture Partners. The latest round brings Robin’s total funding to $15 million. In addition, Robin announced the launch of partnerships with several leading academic and private medical practices across the United States, and named Tom Gruber, co-founder and former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Siri, as a formal advisor.

One Drop Launches Global Commercial Partnership with Bayer and Announces $40M in Series B Financing
One Drop (@onedroptoday), a provider of digital therapeutic solutions for diabetes and other chronic conditions, announced $40 million in Series B financing, led by Bayer, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Bayer has also entered a commercial licensing agreement to use One Drop’s platform in Bayer’s global bio-digital efforts in therapeutic areas such as oncology, cardiovascular disease, and women’s health. Stefan Oelrich, the President of Bayer Pharmaceuticals, will join One Drop’s Board of Directors.

Kaia Health Announces $8 Million in Funding Led by Optum Ventures
Kaia Health, a digital therapeutics company, announced an $8 million funding round, the second significant investment this year. The infusion of capital is led by Optum Ventures (@Optum_Ventures).

According to MassDevice Medical Network, BrightInsight (@Brightinsightco), a Flex company, raised $25 million in a Series A funding round for its medical-grade Internet of Things platform.

Healthcare Technology Startup InsightRX Raises $10 Million to Enable Precision Dosing at Point of Care
InsightRX (@insightrx), a pioneer in precision medicine, announced the closing of its $10 million Series A funding led by HealthX Ventures, with participation from Rock Health, OSF Healthcare, Leawood Venture Capital, Premier Inc., and earlier investor GreatPoint Ventures. InsightRX has created an integrated healthcare platform that individualizes treatment at the point of care. The company will use the funding to broaden its therapeutic areas and provide additional hospitals and pharmaceutical companies with access to its innovative technology. Since its founding in 2015, InsightRX has raised more than $13 million altogether.
