Health Catalyst announced it has raised $70 million. The funding round, led by existing investor Norwest Venture Partners, included contributions from other existing investors Sequoia Capital, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Sorenson Capital, CHV Capital (an Indiana University Health Company) and Partners HealthCare.The capital will be used to fund significant continued product development investments, particularly in areas of advanced clinical and workflow applications designed to measurably improve clinical and financial outcomes.

ZirMed announced it will showcase its predictive analytics technology through client presentations and in-booth demonstrations at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society 2015 Annual Conference & Exhibition (HIMSS15). At the conference, ZirMed will co-present an educational session alongside its client on Monday, April 13th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. CST, in Room S100A. The framework meets the need of healthcare organizations for greater guidance and consistency in the de-identification and use of de-identified healthcare data, while simplifying and streamlining the process. De-identification is a key method for protecting privacy by preventing a patient’s identity from being connected with health information and is a core component of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule.
