This week we started our annual line up of 12 Days of Christmas Posts. During these 12 days, we take a look back at some of the biggest news, issues, and trends in the industry. Our regular contributors also weigh in on the year that was, as well as offer predictions and advice for the new year. This year we’ve decided to showcase them on our radio station website HealthcareNOW Radio. ICYMI here are the first 5 days so far.
Day 1 – Let Our 2020 12 Days of Christmas Posts Begin!
Today we kick off our annual series looking back at 2020. The global pandemic, no surprise, dominates our series this year, though not entirely. And as we publish each day, we’ll highlight New Year predictions, take a walk down memory lane with some of our favorite HealthcareNOW Radio episodes of the year, and shine a light on industry leaders and heroes.
Day 2: Dynamic Duos
It is day two of our 12 Days of Christmas Posts and we are calling out to our radio and podcast shows that have fabulous host duos. One question we get quite often is what is the difference between radio shows and podcast shows? The easiest way to think of our two HealthcareNOW Radio birds is to think about what NPR does. NPR streams live radio content over the Internet but also offers podcasts shows. Like us, they also make their radio show programming available on demand. Our radio shows and podcasts that are hosted by duos include How I Transformed This, Pop Health Week , Healthcare IT Today, Conversations on Healthcare, Talkin’ Telehealth, Overrated and Underused, Value-Based Care Insights.
Day 3: We Say Merci!
It is day three of our 12 Days of Christmas Posts and we say Merci, to these three not French but frequent and dependable contributors to our Health IT Answers news site. We thank them and all our guest contributors who share their knowledge and insights on an array of health IT topics each and every day. We do like this time of year and we couldn’t let the season pass without acknowledging industry experts and bloggers who have contributed.

Day 5: Golden HCNR Episodes
It is day five of our 12 Days of Christmas Posts and we’ve chosen five golden episodes to highlight. HealthcareNOW Radio’s live streaming audience averages 36,000 U.S. listeners per month and the station’s archive of podcast episodes on SoundCloud averages 21,000 plays per month. In 2020 we aired over 300 episodes on the station so it was no easy task deciding which 5 episodes to spotlight; so many shows, so many episodes, so many great conversations.
