2019 Digital Innovation Bootcamp: From Concept to Action

A unique opportunity to apply learning theories and education models to developing engaging and inspiring digital content for students.
Faculty today must have a high digital IQ. Classroom technology and social media are here to stay so it’s time for nurse educators to sharpen their skills as digital content creators. Through a collaboration between AACN and Apple, they are happy announce the Digital Innovation Bootcamp: From Concept to Action. This bootcamp-style program is designed specifically for faculty, administrators and staff in nursing programs to create and curate content to engage students in learning experiences in classroom, online, laboratory, and clinical settings.
During this 3-day intensive program you will learn from Apple development executives and Apple distinguished educators about what leading technologies are available to help transform the higher learning experience. Successful applicants will leave Austin with hands-on experience using new, innovative, and engaging digital content tools, and a personal learning network from peer support.
Participants are expected to complete a digital project and will be given the opportunity to present at one of AACN’s upcoming conferences. AACN will waive the presenter fee for those selected to present at an AACN conference:
- Faculty Development Conference – Nov. 20-21, 2019 | Buena Vista, FL
- Baccalaureate Education Conference – Nov. 21-23, 2019 | Buena Vista, FL
- Doctoral Education Conference – Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2020 | Naples, FL
- AACN Nurse Faculty Conference* – Dec. 3-5, 2020 | Chicago, IL
*for faculty in Baccalaureate and Master’s programs
Applicants who are accepted will receive additional assistance and information on the digital project pre- and post-bootcamp through a series of conference calls.
Participation will be limited to 35 individuals selected from AACN membership institutions.
There is no registration fee for this event. Participants are responsible for cost of travel, meals, and lodging.
