They came together to solve the problem after Adnan tore his ACL and couldn’t get in for a scan for weeks. He tells the story of how his persistence won through (calling 10 times in one day to secure an opening that was the result of a last-minute cancellation, something that Tashfeen saw on his schedule on a daily basis that remained unfilled.

The combination of Adnan’s biotech and business background combined with Tashfeen’s deep insights into both the healthcare workflow and coding came together on the proverbial “napkin” drawing idea. They worked to create an early prototype that was helped by Tashfeen’s insights into the plumbing of hospitals and the importance of workflow driving some important incremental insights:

  • In healthcare, workflow is king

They tackled wicked scheduling problems that suffer from “non-standard standards” perfecting their product in smaller more file organizations that used open EMR’s that were easier to integrate to that positioned them to take on the larger healthcare systems and technology solutions.
