The Current and Future State of Interoperability

Virtual Panel Discussion on the Current and Future State of Industry-wide Interoperability

When: Tuesday, November 13, 2018
Time: 2:00 – 3:15 pm ET

The march towards full Interoperability has been a goal for the industry for years now.  The HITECH Act, MACRA and the 21st Century Cures Act are major pieces of legislation designed, in part, to advance Interoperability across the healthcare spectrum. Challenges persist, of course, but are all the puzzle pieces to solving these challenges coming together?

On our 3rd Annual Virtual Panel Discussion, we bring together four industry thought leaders to discuss the current and future path to Interoperability from three angles: Legislative, Technical and Financial.

Our thought leaders bring a wide variety of expertise and knowledge to this conversation and include:

  • Jitin Asnaani, Executive Director CommonWell Health Alliance
  • Chuck Christian, Vice President, Technology and Engagement, Indiana Health Information Exchange
  • Dave Lareau, CEO Medicomp Systems
  • Chris Muir, Director, Standards Division, ONC

Once again on hand to moderate this webcast event is healthcare attorney and radio host of Harlow on Healthcare, David Harlow (@HealthBlawg).

Here is a small sampling of questions David will be moderating:

  • How will CMS’ renaming of the EHR Incentive Program to the Promoting Interoperability Program impact providers’ actions?
  • How can we make shared data more usable to providers at the point of care using new exchange standards?
  • How do we address providers’ concerns that interoperability is of limited financial value?
  • How does Interoperability align with value-based care objectives?

Check out the bios of our panelists and moderator below and be sure to register today for this special webinar event before we reach full capacity for virtual attendance.
